About George Voyatzis

George Voyatzis is a specialist in cataract and lens based surgery. He has more than 16 years experience and an enviable record for safety, patient satisfaction and results.

George Voyatzis graduated from Athens Medical school, Greece with a First Class Honours Degree.

After completing his military service with the Greek Air Force, he got a prestigious scholarship to train in Ophthalmology in the UK.

He undertook his ophthalmic surgical training in London and Cambridge. After completing his residency, he trained for two further years at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. During this time he further honed his skills in complex cataract and corneal surgery.

In 2014 he accepted the post of Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Peterborough & Stamford NHS Foundation Trust. He was the clinical lead for the cataract service and received a clinical excellence award for the improvement of the service.

In 2018 he joined the world renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital.

Mr Voyatzis and his team of specialist nurses, optometrists and technicians offer a patient/doctor relationship based on knowledge, trust and forward-thinking, ensuring the best possible service and care.

Janice Oster

Janice is a specialist optometrist who, after qualifying from City University, London, has gained extensive experience in the hospital sector by working at The Royal London, Whipps Cross and for the past 25 years, Moorfields Eye Hospital. She has broad optometric experience having worked in many specialist clinics across the hospital, with a particular focus and considerable expertise in refractive surgery and cataract procedures.

She has been running the NHS Shared Care Cataract Scheme at Potters Bar Outreach Clinic for the past 6 years and has a close working relationship with many community optometrists in Hertfordshire, providing them with important training and support.

Janice has a highly personable approach, with strong communication and compassion, which helps the patient feel at ease prior to surgery and makes for an excellent patient experience.
